The sun is illuminated by a special 1000-hour light bulb inside a yellow sphere to bring light onto the planets that orbit around it. The really cool effect is created by the blackness of the central tower and the planetary support. They just simply become invisible in the dark room. The base of this incredible solar system model has planetary longitude marks so the planets can be set up to their correct positions. We surfed the internet until he found it, then he counted the days until it arrived. He's been playing with it, talking about it, and setting and resetting the planets in it ever since.

Although this was aimed at older children, she just loves it, especially projecting the constellations. (Yes, she can say that word!). Will definitely purchase more from you. Have to keep up with the grandchildren's curiosity!
